BACKGROUND
The team started campaigning Matrix in 2016, they have been steadily campaigning in all major East Coast races and regattas. 2018 has been an outstanding year for the forty-one-footer with 18 podium finishes including a clean sweep at the recent Hamilton Island Race Week and good placings in the Brisbane to Gladstone and Brisbane to Keppel races. �The boat and crew are ready and raring to go, and I have a space reserved in the trophy cabinet for some Hobart silverware,� said Furtado. While this is the first RSHYR for Matrix there is no shortage of ocean racing experience on board, veteran sailmaker, Ian Davis (aka Ox) will clock up his 27th race to Hobart when the starter�s cannon fires on Boxing Day.
